Rookesbury Park is a beautiful family owned manor house situated in around 1000 acres of Hampshire countryside and dates back to the 19th Century.
It was a girls school from 1929 until 2012 (the current owner is a former student!) and was converted to a wedding venue after this time. The wedding ceremony will be conducted in the grand entrance hall, with the reception in the Orangery.
From the moment we saw the house we fell in love with it and both got the same feeling of our breath being taken away! As anyone who knows us will understand, we like the "quirky" and "historic" and Rookesbury ticks both those boxes. A stunning staircase and beautiful rooms with original features coupled with dormitory style sleeping sounds like a great formula for a wonderful and memorable day.
Overnight accommodation is available at Rookesbury Park for wedding guests only. A continental style breakfast is included.
Please note:
- The accommodation can sleep from 1 to 14 people per room.
- The rooms are not en-suite. Bath/shower rooms and toilets are shared.
- There are no lifts or disabled access to the upper floors of the building, therefore please specify when booking if you require a ground floor room.
There is more than enough accommodation for all our invited guests to stay over if they would like to.
Whilst there are several hotels in the area, we believe that the cost for staying at Rookesbury represents great value for money, especially as the cost includes breakfast.
Guests can either stay for one or two nights, allowing those travelling from afar to arrive on Friday the 24th October and leave on the Sunday after breakfast.
We are planning on arranging a meal at Rookesbury Park for the Friday evening with any guests who are staying that night welcome to attend. More info to follow, including price and food choice!
