We are both incredibly grateful to our vendors who absolutely pulled out all the stops to make our day phenomenal. Without these wonderful people our wedding would have been a nice event; they elevated it to incredible, and we are so thankful for the efforts that everyone involved made to make our wedding so memorable.
We looked at dozens of venues before choosing Rookesbury Park. Not only is the venue stunning, but the people who own and run the place are genuinely wonderful.
They do corporate hire as well as weddings, and play host to numerous public events throughout the year, such as craft fayres, wedding fayres as well as public Christmas and Halloween events.

Professional photography was by Hana and Natalie of Hana Laurie Photo.
Absolutely bonkers, totally brilliant and cannot recommend her highly enough. From the moment we first met Hana we instantly connected, and the photos her and Natalie have taken are just beyond anything we could have hoped for.

We had two vintage buses and a classic Morris Minor at the wedding. Whilst two of these (the Morris and the closed top bus) are owned by friends, it is well worth mentioning the owners / operators of the open topped bus.
This is lovingly cared for by the wonderful volunteers at the City of Portsmouth Preservation Depot (CPPTD) who gave up their own time to bring this stunning vehicle to our big day. We cannot possibly thank Rob, Tony and indeed all at CPPTD enough for making this happen.
They don't usually allow their vehicles to "do" weddings, so for them to bring this stunning vehicle to our wedding is beyond generous.
If you would like to know more about their wonderful operation, or make a donation, then please visit their website

Our cake was a stunning "Reveal" cake, with traditional flowers on the front and then, when it was turned around, pictures highlighting "our" story on the rear. From our first meeting on the bus at Amberley, a Cruise ship where Mike was working when we first got together, Warwick Castle for the proposal and finally Rookesbury Park where we married. The cake was delicious and beautifully made by Sue of Fondantly Yours, Drayton.
Bass Entertainment did an amazing job at providing the music for our wedding. Andre, their DJ, was a brilliant host and very personable, doing a fantastic job of using the music we requested to set the tone for the day.

Catherine looked absolutely amazing on the big day, partly thanks to her incredibly beautiful dress supplied by Creatiques Bridal Boutique. Andrew and Bertie made her feel so special when she was choosing the dress, and we couldn't have wished for a better outfit for such a perfect bride.

From the moment we saw the suits at Hunter & Greys we knew that we wanted the Grooms party suits to come from them. Another slightly bonkers Hannah made the fittings great fun, and the suits were absolutely impeccable.

Some of the wedding flowers were done by Rookesbury Park and some by family friends, but the brides bouquet, the bridesmaid hoops and the button holes were by Floral Art of Waterlooville.
Claire did a wonderful job and all the flowers were stunning.

... To Rob, for the loan of Dalek "Kronk" who was a huge hit with the guests!!
... To Ian and Anne for the incredible surprise of picking Mike up from home in their gorgeous Morris Minor.
... To Pete, for bringing the stunning Southampton Bus 353 which looked incredible parked outside.
... To Mark and Kirsty for the loan of the stunning table lanterns
... To Anne & Evelyn who gave their time and the flowers which decorated the table lanterns so beautifully.
... and to our amazing friends and families who made the day absolutely perfect.
We were both incredibly humbled by the absolute outpouring of love that we experienced on our wedding day.
A day which I don't think we could ever forget.
